How in the hell did whatever automatic translator they used turn “雰囲気” into “excrement”?
I had a few gems in lesson plans as well, but they don’t come immediately to mind (and I don’t think they rivaled this).
Stu tried to translate the Japanese under the English – Vigor says hello well… and doesn’t know enough. What does it say that they translated so poorly and what word should it have been instead of excrement?
Here’s how I figure it went down:
Type the whole thing you want to translate into the program in hiragana.
ふんいき
gets read as:
糞 行き
for some weird reason.
And behold “the way of excrement” is born.
